Las Passkeys (or access keys) are a modern and secure method to protect your HumanWallet without using traditional passwords.
In Reental, Passkeys are the system that allows you to access your wallet and authorize operations in a simple and safe way.

What exactly is a Passkey?

A Passkey is a unique digital credential that:

  • is saved on your device or in your password manager,
  • It is unlocked using biometry (fingerprint or facial recognition),
  • and it's associated only with your account.

It's not a password you have to remember or type in.

What is the Passkey for in Reental?

Your Passkey is used to:

  • Connect your HumanWallet.
  • Authorize access to your account.
  • Confirm operations within Reental.

Without a valid Passkey, it is not possible to use the HumanWallet.

Where is the Passkey kept?

During the creation of the HumanWallet, the system asks you Where do you want to store the Passkey.
The most common options are:

  • iCloud keychain (recommended if you're using Apple devices).
  • Google Password Manager (recommended on Android/Chrome).
  • Physical security key (for advanced users).

⚠️ Important safety recommendation
Avoid storing the Passkey only in the local browser profile.
If you change your browser, delete your profile or lose your device, you could lose access to your wallet.

Cloud managers (iCloud/Google) allow recover the Passkey on new devices in a secure manner.

What happens if I change my cell phone or computer?

If you've saved your Passkey to iCloud or Google:

  • you will be able to recover access from another device,
  • using your regular account and biometrics.

If the Passkey was only stored locally:

  • it will be necessary to go through an additional supported verification process.

Does Reental have access to my Passkey?

No.

  • Reental cannot view, copy or use you Passkey.
  • The Passkey is securely stored in your personal environment.
  • Only you can unlock it with your biometrics or device method.

This means that you keep full control of your HumanWallet.

Practical tips for using Passkeys with peace of mind

  • Use iCloud or Google to save your Passkey.
  • Protect your device with a screen lock.
  • Don't share your cell phone or your biometric methods.
  • Keep your operating system up to date.
