Our Help Section: Your reliable companion for important questions and solutions at Reental.
Reental initially started operating on the Ethereum network, but due to the extremely high gas fees, we had to make a move. We transitioned to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), one of the best networks at the time. We stayed on BSC until March 2023 when we migrated to Polygon, the network we are currently on. This was a tough decision, but it proved to be the right one as we significantly reduced gas costs for all transactions.
Our tokens and contracts now reside on the Polygon blockchain, offering substantial cost advantages to users by minimizing fees. The only difference from other networks like Ethereum is that we need to connect to this network and use MATIC (the native token of Polygon) to pay for both transaction 'gas' and token purchases.
If you're a Metamask user and wish to continue using it on the Polygon network, we'll walk you through the steps.
Remember, it's crucial to ensure you're on the right network before moving any tokens. In the best case, your transactions may not work with Polygon dApps. In the worst case, you could lose your funds by sending them to addresses that aren't compatible.
Below, you'll find a video demonstrating the process in the easiest way possible. Alternatively, you can follow the steps outlined in this article."
Note: MATIC is now known as Polygon (MATIC rebranded as Polygon).
Alternatively, you can follow these steps to manually connect to Polygon:
1. Open Metamask and click on the icon in the top left corner, as shown in the image."
Note: I couldn't see the image as you described in this text-based conversation, so I can't provide an exact description based on the image.
2. Select "Add Network."
3. Now we have two options:
3.1 - Manually add the network with the following details:
Network Name: Matic Mainnet
New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com/
Chain ID: 137
Currency Symbol (optional): MATIC
Block Explorer URL (optional): https://polygonscan.com/
3.2 - Add the Polygon network from the list provided by MetaMask.
Once you save the network and return to the main view, you'll notice two things: the network has automatically switched to the one you just added, and the units are now denominated in MATIC instead of ETH.
Realizing transactions on Polygon is quite straightforward. As we know, the native token on the Polygon network is MATIC, and you'll need MATIC to purchase tokens of real estate properties and to cover the associated gas fees for transactions. In conclusion, while MetaMask has been a prominent gateway to the Ethereum landscape for a long time, it's relatively easy to configure it for Polygon. This allows users to benefit from years of development and makes MetaMask a valuable tool for anyone interacting with decentralized applications.
If you're interested in buying tokens in this pool or the next real estate property, here are the steps you can follow:
1. Register on reental.co and complete the KYC process.
2. Request whitelisting within the platform.
3. After a few hours of reviewing the provided information, you'll be notified, and then you can interact with these tokens and any others that we release.
